Show Horses Logic Puzzle

At the county fair this year, the judging was harsh for the show horses category. Out of a possible 100 points, no one horse scored over 94, with most scoring 80 or less. Of the top 5 horses, the one in 5th place only scored 81 points. In the end, however, the winners were happy as they took home their ribbons. Using the clues, figure out which horse scored which point, in what order it was viewed and the color of the horse.

  • 1. Of the horse that scored 87 points and the black horse, one was Melony and the other was judged first.
  • 2. Whinny was not the 6th in line to be judged.
  • 3. Of the horse that scored 93 points and the horse that scored 84 points, one was brown and the other was Felip.
  • 4. Whinny wasn't awarded 81 points.
  • 5. Neither Sam nor white horse was the one that scored 81 points.
  • 6. The white horse was either Natalie or the one that scored 87 points.
  • 7. Sam did not have black and white coloring.
  • 8. The black & white horse was not shown eighth.
  • 9. The black horse scored 6 points lower than the black & white horse.
  • 10. The brown horse was shown 4th.
  • 11. Felip scored 3 points higher than the brown & tan horse.
  • 12. The horse that scored 81 points wasn't shown eighth.
