Movie Buffs Associated - Jack Nicholson Logic Puzzle

Every week since its inauguration, the local Movie Buffs Associated have shown a series of movies chosen by a selection panel, determined annually by a ballot of members, in the Municipal Offices function room each evening from Monday to Friday, and starring a particular actor/actress. The selection panel for the current year is Sally Boyden, Mark Thomson, Jessica Farmer, Laurie Davison and Mary Peters.

Last week their choice was Jack Nicholson, and the films chosen - one per member - were The Bucket List (2007), The Shining (1980), How Do You Know (2010), The Crossing Guard (1995), and Blood and Wine (1996) but not respectively, and neither were they shown in that order, nor in the order in which they were released. Showing time differed each evening. From this information and the following clues, for each member, can you determine who chose which film, the day on which it was shown, and at what time?

  • 1. Laurie's choice opened the week and was shown at a time 15 minutes before Blood and Wine, which closed the week.
  • 2. The release chosen by Miss Boyden was shown on a later day, at an earlier time than that of Miss Farmer.
  • 3. Both the men and the women had consecutive days showings.
  • 4. Mary was the only woman whose choice showed before 8:00 pm.
  • 5. Of the three choices shown before 8:00 pm, the 1995 release was at the latest time.
  • 6. None of the women chose The Bucket List or The Crossing Guard.
  • 7. Miss Boyden chose an earlier release than Miss Farmer.
