Answer
The boxes contain pictures of a bird, a cat, a dog and a fish with spots representing their eyes. The pictures of the bird, dog and fish are side views and so only one spot or eye is in each of those. However, the picture of the cat in the second box is a front view and so another spot should be in that one.
